Her approach to teaching emphasizes the development of the uniqueness of each student. In a supportive environment, they are encouraged to hone their skills while exploring their personal and identifiable style of painting. She teaches people to draw from their own ideas and gain the confidence to believe that what they have to say is unique, important and worthwhile. She stimulates the kind of growth that begins when one chooses not to paint like everyone else.
